Please note where a one-hour group lessons is booked, the lesson will run for the hour where there are 3 riders or more; if there are two riders it may run as a 45-minute shared lesson and if there is only one rider, it may run as a half an hour private ride. The cost will remain as the group price and not be increased. 
Lesson lengths also include mounting/dismounting as part of the lesson. 
Please note our current weight limit is 12 stone. 
 
 
We now offer regular weekly group riders the opportunity to reserve their ride under a standing order payment scheme, if you would like details please email to: manager@fletchersfarm.co.uk

Ideal opportunity for riders looking to work towards the next level in flat or jumping/preparing for exams/pony club test. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements. Lesson inclusive of horse hire.

FIRST LESSON HERE? 
 
Please drive through to the large car park area in front of the large outdoor arena (please do not park immediately by the entrance gates).  
On your first visit please arrive at the site 15 minutes before your lesson is due to start with your rider registration form and the correct clothing. Please look for the staff based in the office however at the weekends the office is not manned and the staff will be based within the riding school yard building so please look for a member of staff who will be wearing hi-viz staff coats or tabbards. The stables are opposite the large outdoor arena and have a red BHS sign on them.  
 
DRESS CODE 
 
A solid short boot with a good heel and flat sole is required but you can borrow our boots if required. Trainers or wellington boots may NOT be worn whilst riding. Shoulders and arms must be covered at all times during lessons/hacks. Jodhpurs, leggings or a comfy pair of trousers, no shorts or cropped trousers. No jewellery except watches and wedding rings. No eating or chewing gum whilst riding.  
Up to standard hats must be worn for your ride. We have hats which can be used at £3 a time but must be booked in advance. 
Gloves are to be worn when you ride (or lead) and can be purchased over the phone and put to one side for you to pick up when you come and ride.  
 
NOTICE BOARD 
 
Our notice boards contain details of what is happening around the school, as well as listing children’s activities during the holidays. Many of the activities book up quickly so ensure you take a look at the board every time you come to us, as well as checking our website or joining us on Facebook. The green notice board is located on the side of the indoor school next to the viewing area.

Loyalty Scheme members must renew their membership each year in order to use their  
loyalty card and receive any discounts.

Loyalty Scheme members must fill in a new FFRS loyalty scheme form each year and will receive a new loyalty scheme card when they renew. 

Hat use charge 

The school has a hat use surcharge of £3 for each time a non-loyalty scheme member needs to use one of our hats. Use of our hats MUST be booked in advance. 
 
Following the changes to hat regulations, staff will check to ensure your own riding hats meet the new standards. 

Choosing a horse for your lesson 

Clients are welcome to request horses for their private lessons (although these horses can be subject to change at times). Group lesson horses are allocated by staff. This is in order to distribute the workload in a fairer way to the riding school horses and keep all the horses fit and healthy.

Cancellation Policy 

Payment is taken for lessons at the time of booking. You may reschedule on two occasions up until 48 hours prior to your lesson without incurring a fee. If you rearrange a third occasion you will be charged the full price of the new booking. Full details can be found on out Terms and Conditions. 
 
Cancelling your lesson with less than 48 hours notice prior to the booking or failing to turn up will result in you losing 100% of your booking fee (lesson price), you will not be able to transfer your lesson after this time. Refunds will not be given once the lesson has been booked and paid for. 
 
Any additional activities that are booked are also non-refundable and these payments can not be transferred to lessons in the event of a rider cancelling (such as clinics, shows, Own a Pony Days etc). For full terms please see our Ts & Cs page. 

Vouchers 

We are happy to produce vouchers for your loved ones whether it is for an anniversary, birthday or Christmas treat.
