 FFRS is an approved Pony Club Centre and we will be offering non-ridden, fortnightly training sessions that will cover Pony Care & Badge work appropriate to the level group that you join. Children will need to be members of the national Pony Club to join these groups. Details on how to join are available on their website www.pcuk.org, on our website or please speak to a member of staff. There will be opportunities for members to take ridden tests in October should they wish to (children will need to be riding regularly in lessons to achieve the ridden requirements of each test level). Additional training days and competitions will be advertised for the Pony Club members at various times during the year.  09.00-10.30 – E to D Group 10.30-12.00 – D+ and above Pony Club dates for the year start 15th February (and then fortnightly)  Cost - All sessions are £18.00  Terms & Conditions - We do ask for all sessions to be booked and paid for in blocks of 4 sessions at a time (which will cover two months attendance) and a waiting list will operate for each group once it is full. You will be contacted towards the end of each block to see if you would like to book for the next set – priority will be given to those already attending, and then spaces will be offered to those on the waiting lists.  A perfect introduction for children who want to learn more about pony care but have no experience. These non-ridden, fortnightly fun groups (the opposite week to Pony Club), will be split by ages, and sessions will cover grooming, tacking/untacking, stable & field care. The club will cover practical activities as well as games/quiz’s all based around pony themes. Children could move on from this group to join the Pony Club if they choose as they gain experience.   09.00-10.30 – 5-9 years old 10.30-12.00 – 10 years old and upwards FFRS Shetland Club starts 22nd February 2020 (and then fortnightly)  Cost - All sessions are £18.00  Terms & Conditions - We do ask for all sessions to be booked and paid for in blocks of 4 sessions at a time (which will cover two months attendance) and a waiting list will operate for each group once it is full. A selection of short topics that allow for practice or development of new skills in various unmounted stable management/horse training related areas. An ideal opportunity to practice skills in an informal, friendly setting with Jackie Colbert. 
The sessions will run for one and a half hours and will involve theory if required as well as practical hands on practice. Please bring your riding hats with you or feel free to hire one of ours when you book. Minimum of two people required to run.

Come and joins us on a ride around the farm on our ponies. Ride will be approx. 20 mins. In the event the ground is too slippery, rides may be transferred to the arenas. Parents will be required to lead. Suitable for all abilities for ages 3 years old and upwards. Riders of 3 years old will require a second adult to walk alongside. Maximum of 4 riders.

Sat 28th March - Kristina Biggs Jumping Clinic 

Come and work on your jumping skills with Kristina who is an experienced show jumping Instructor. Kristina has successfully competed in affiliated show jumping competitions as well as cross country events and will use her knowledge to help you work towards your goals. 
She will be offering 45 minute private sessions to clients in our outdoor arena, or alternatively can offer shared sessions if you prefer.

- Combination not to have won a Walk - Trot test twice. 
Results will be split into junior & senior placings.

- Combination not to have won two classes at prelim level or above.

Horse Hire for riding school clients is £15 per class.

Entries close The Wednesday before the event at 12 noon or earlier if full. Please enter as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Any late entries accepted will be at a £2.00 additional cost per class.

Fletchers Farm Riding School Dressage Show rules 
 
Where classes are split into junior/senior – junior riders are classed as riders who are 16 years old and under as of the 1st January 2020. All other riders will be classed in the senior category. 
 
Whilst BD rules require numbers for competitors to be displayed, we do not currently require riders to follow this rule. 
 
No entry will be accepted without the appropriate fee and signed entry form. Entries from competitors online who then have paid over the telephone or by Bacs are taken on the understanding of all parties that the competitor /and parents (if under 18 years old) have read, understood and agreed to abide by the show rules. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, vary the order or composition of, or cancel any event in this schedule at any time. 
 
Correct riding dress should be worn and hat with a fixed harness to a minimum standard of PAS 015 must be worn by riders at all times. 
 
Judged under BD, however the Judges' decision is final. 
 
Riders may be asked to perform their tests up to 10 minutes before their allocated times. 
 
The organisers have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructors and the organiser, officials and stewards. 
 
Please ensure that dogs are kept on a lead at all times. 
 
Please use designated warm up area only, (normally the indoor school). Do not stand on the track where others are riding and cause an obstruction. Please ride responsibly observing manage etiquette. 
 
Please do not re-enter the warm up arena once you have finished your test. 
 
No lunging allowed on the show ground. 
 
All lorries and horse trailers to be parked in designated grass area or on the large tarmac area opposite the main entrance – signs will be out on the day to indicate which area is being used for parking. 
 
Parking can be restricted if the show is busy so please park close to the next horse box and considerately. 
 
Please tidy hay, droppings and mess from the parking area before leaving. 
 
Photographs of winners / placed riders may be printed and shared on our website/Facebook site and printed media such as Absolute Horse. Please can you email the manager if you would prefer not to have any winner/placing photos shared (manager@fletchersfarm.co.uk).

Tuesday 7th April - Pony Day  

A fun filled day with a chance for the children to get hands on experience with our ponies. The day includes grooming, learning about ponies and stable care, a ride on a pony of your choice (subject to suitability) as well as quiz/crafting depending on the weather. Open to all ages and abilities. Please bring your own packed lunch, drink and weather appropriate clothing. Parents will be required to return to lead children if they are beginners in the afternoon. Please note rides will include mixed abilities and therefore run a little differently to normal group lessons.  
Time: 10.00 – 15.00hrs

Includes a £5 discount voucher for a group lesson (one hour)

 Come and have a mini hack on our ponies whilst looking for Easter clues. Solve the Easter word to receive your treat. Suitable for all levels and riders will be put together in similar abilities. Parents are actively encouraged to come and lead the ponies and to join in (Beginner and Intro group children will be required to be led).  Suitable for children aged three years old and upwards (riders of 3 years old will need a second adult to walk along side). Monday 13th April - Easter Halloween Le Trec Obstacles & Competition 

Riding in groups in the outdoor arena, practice a range of obstacles and challenges with your horse and instructor. Each group will then have a fun timed competition against the other riders in their group to see who can complete the course in quickest time. Rosettes for placings in each group.

Weds 22/04 - Jackies Practice session - Dressage Tests and Marks  

A selection of short topics that allow for practice or development of new skills in various unmounted stable management/horse training related areas. An ideal opportunity to practice skills in an informal, friendly setting with Jackie Colbert. 
The sessions will run for one and a half hours and will involve theory if required as well as practical hands on practice. Please bring your riding hats with you or feel free to hire one of ours when you book. Minimum of two people required to run.

Come and joins us on a ride around the farm on our ponies. Ride will be approx. 20 mins. In the event the ground is too slippery, rides may be transferred to the arenas. Parents will be required to lead. Suitable for all abilities for ages 3 years old and upwards. Riders of 3 years old will require a second adult to walk alongside. Maximum of 4 riders.

Sunday 26th April – Unaffiliated Novice SJ Show 

Fun & encouraging shows aimed at novice/nervous riders 
 
Starts 09:30hrs 
 
Class 1 Raised Poles – One round against the clock. Riders on/off the lead rein. 
Results will be split into lead rein and off lead rein placings. 
 
Class 2 Tiny cross poles – Middle of the fence 20cm or below. One round against the clock. Riders on/off the lead rein. 
Results will be split into lead rein and off lead rein placings. 
 
Class 3 35cm-40cm – One round against the clock. 
Assistance allowed in the ring but no lead rein. 
Results will be split into junior/senior placings – see rules overleaf. 
 
Class 4 45-50cm – Two Phase 
 
Class 5 55-60cm – Two phase 
 
Class 6 75-80cm – Two phase 
 
Lead rein allowed in classes 1 & 2. 
 
Assistance allowed in class 3 (for example to remind direction of fences etc). 
 
Classes 4,5 and 6 are two phase (if clear round jumped, jump off will follow immediately). As this is a novice show, we respectfully ask that competitors ensure that they are entering the most appropriate classes for their experience levels, thank you. 
The course will be made of a mixture of poly/training jumps. 
 
Rosettes 1st to 3rd place, more if entries warrant.

Where classes are split into junior/senior – junior riders are classed as riders who are 16 years old and under as of the 1st January 2020. All other riders will be classed in the senior category. 
 
No entry will be accepted without the appropriate fee. 
 
The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, vary the order or composition of, or cancel any event in this schedule at any time. 
 
In the event of the show being cancelled due to adverse weather or other reasons, notice will be given via our facebook page and on our website under the show times tab. 
 
Classes may be split or amalgamated at the organisers' discretion. 
All course heights are approximate. 
 
Correct riding dress should be worn and hat with a fixed harness to a minimum standard of PAS 015 must be worn by riders at all times. 
 
Judged under BS Rules, however the Judges' decision is final. 
 
The organisers have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructors or the organiser, officials and stewards. 
 
Please use designated warm up area only. Do not stand on the track where others are riding and cause an obstruction. Please ride responsibly and observe manage etiquette. 
Please do not re-enter the warm up arena once you have finished your jumping round.

If this is your first show competing please note that we allow assistance or leading as indicated on the schedule page. Please remember horses can behave differently in the ring to normal lessons or schooling at home and if you would like assistance please ask. Competitors enter classes at their own risk.

The BHS EHKC is the perfect introduction to equine care and management, and is an informative and interesting course for those wishing to learn more about horse care. It is ideal for non-horsey parents, first time horse owners/carers or those planning their first horse purchase or loan and anyone wishing to expand their knowledge. Level 1 takes the knowledge further and includes discussing purchasing a horse - what to look for and the vetting process. There is a written paper in the last week of the course.  The course will run for four consecutive Sundays  Starts: Sunday 3rd May - 24th May 2020 Time: 14.00-17.00 Cost: £95

Whilst BD rules require numbers for competitors to be displayed, we do not currently require riders to follow this rule. 
 
No entry will be accepted without the appropriate fee and signed entry form. Entries from competitors online who then have paid over the telephone or by Bacs are taken on the understanding of all parties that the competitor /and parents (if under 18 years old) have read, understood and agreed to abide by the show rules. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, vary the order or composition of, or cancel any event in this schedule at any time. 
 
Correct riding dress should be worn and hat with a fixed harness to a minimum standard of PAS 015 must be worn by riders at all times. 
 
Judged under BD, however the Judges' decision is final. 
 
Riders may be asked to perform their tests up to 10 minutes before their allocated times. 
 
The organisers have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructors and the organiser, officials and stewards. 
 
Please ensure that dogs are kept on a lead at all times. 
 
Please use designated warm up area only, (normally the indoor school). Do not stand on the track where others are riding and cause an obstruction. Please ride responsibly observing manage etiquette. 
 
Please do not re-enter the warm up arena once you have finished your test. 
 
No lunging allowed on the show ground. 
 
All lorries and horse trailers to be parked in designated grass area or on the large tarmac area opposite the main entrance – signs will be out on the day to indicate which area is being used for parking.

Tuesday 26th May - Pony Day  

A fun filled day with a chance for the children to get hands on experience with our ponies. The day includes grooming, learning about ponies and stable care, a ride on a pony of your choice (subject to suitability) as well as quiz/crafting depending on the weather. Open to all ages and abilities. Please bring your own packed lunch, drink and weather appropriate clothing. Parents will be required to return to lead children if they are beginners in the afternoon. Please note rides will include mixed abilities and therefore run a little differently to normal group lessons.

A six-week course covering the content required to take your Stage 1 Care exam. Ideal preparation for the exam or an opportunity to learn more about general horse care as the syllabus covers horse’s health, grooming, rugs and mucking out as well as other areas.  The sessions will run on Sunday afternoons and involve practical and theoretical content.  7th June – 12th July 2020  Time: 14.00-16.30  Cost: £168 for the course Individual sessions can be booked at a rate of £30 a session however we recommend that you attend the whole course in order to cover all the content.

Lead rein allowed in classes 1 & 2. 
 
Assistance allowed in class 3 (for example to remind direction of fences etc). 
 
Classes 4,5 and 6 are two phase (if clear round jumped, jump off will follow immediately). As this is a novice show, we respectfully ask that competitors ensure that they are entering the most appropriate classes for their experience levels, thank you. 
The course will be made of a mixture of poly/training jumps. 
 
Rosettes 1st to 3rd place, more if entries warrant.

Show Jumping Rules 
 
Where classes are split into junior/senior – junior riders are classed as riders who are 16 years old and under as of the 1st January 2020. All other riders will be classed in the senior category. 
 
No entry will be accepted without the appropriate fee. 
 
The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, vary the order or composition of, or cancel any event in this schedule at any time. 
 
In the event of the show being cancelled due to adverse weather or other reasons, notice will be given via our facebook page and on our website under the show times tab. 
 
Classes may be split or amalgamated at the organisers' discretion. 
All course heights are approximate. 
 
Correct riding dress should be worn and hat with a fixed harness to a minimum standard of PAS 015 must be worn by riders at all times. 
 
Judged under BS Rules, however the Judges' decision is final. 
 
The organisers have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructors or the organiser, officials and stewards. 
 
Please use designated warm up area only. Do not stand on the track where others are riding and cause an obstruction. Please ride responsibly and observe manage etiquette. 
Please do not re-enter the warm up arena once you have finished your jumping round. 
No lunging allowed on the show ground. 
 
If this is your first show competing please note that we allow assistance or leading as indicated on the schedule page. Please remember horses can behave differently in the ring to normal lessons or schooling at home and if you would like assistance please ask. Competitors enter classes at their own risk. 
 
These shows are designed to be encouraging. Please choose appropriate classes for your experience and we would politely ask that you move up classes if you have won a number at a particular level. 
 
All lorries and horse trailers to be parked in designated grass area or on the large tarmac parking area opposite the main gateway (signs will indicate which area on the day). 
 
Please tidy hay, droppings and mess from the parking area before leaving. 
Parking can be restricted if the show is busy so please park considerately and close to the next horsebox or as directed by a show steward. 
 
Please ensure that dogs are kept on a lead at all times. 
 
Photographs of class winners / placed riders may be printed / placed onto various social and printed media including the FFRS website, Absolute Horse, the FFRS Facebook page. If you do not wish your placing/winning to be shared please email the manager at: manager@fletchersfarm.co.uk

Starts 10:00hrs 
 
Class 1 Intro B (2009) 
- Combination not to have won a Walk - Trot test twice. 
Results will be split into junior & senior placings. 
 
Class 2 Prelim Test 2 (2016) 
- Combination not to have won two classes at prelim level or above. 
 
Class 3 Prelim Test 18 (2016) 
- Combination not to have won twice at novice level or above. 
 
Class 4 Novice Test 34 (2016) 
- Open to all. 
 
Classes 1 - 4: Rosettes 1st – 3rd place, more if entries warrant.

Horse Hire for riding school clients is £15 per class.

Entries close The Wednesday before the event at 12 noon or earlier if full. Please enter as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Any late entries accepted will be at a £2.00 additional cost per class.

Fletchers Farm Riding School Dressage Show rules

Whilst BD rules require numbers for competitors to be displayed, we do not currently require riders to follow this rule. 
 
No entry will be accepted without the appropriate fee and signed entry form. Entries from competitors online who then have paid over the telephone or by Bacs are taken on the understanding of all parties that the competitor /and parents (if under 18 years old) have read, understood and agreed to abide by the show rules. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, vary the order or composition of, or cancel any event in this schedule at any time.

Riders may be asked to perform their tests up to 10 minutes before their allocated times.

Sunday 27th September – Unaffiliated Novice SJ Show 

Fun & encouraging shows aimed at novice/nervous riders 
Starts 09:30hrs 
 
Class 1 Raised Poles – One round against the clock. Riders on/off the lead rein. 
Results will be split into lead rein and off lead rein placings. 
 
Class 2 Tiny cross poles – Middle of the fence 20cm or below. One round against the clock. Riders on/off the lead rein. 
Results will be split into lead rein and off lead rein placings. 
 
Class 3 35cm-40cm – One round against the clock. 
Assistance allowed in the ring but no lead rein. 
Results will be split into junior/senior placings – see rules overleaf.
