Pony Club  

Pony Club April 2021 Interested in learning more about ponies and their care? Come and join FFRS Pony Club!!  As an approved Pony Club Centre, Fletchers Farm Riding School offers fun, non-ridden sessions for children to meet new friends and learn all about ponies and stable management.  Sessions will cover topics such as grooming ponies, their health, feeding, field care, as well as games/quizzes and working towards Pony Club badges (please note to gain badges children will need to be current members of the national Pony Club organisation).  Pony Club will be running on Tuesday evenings from 6pm-7.30pm during term times, with Jackie Colbert leading the sessions.  Any child over 5 years old can join us and children must bring their own hats each week (hats can be prebooked for the half term). Gloves will also need to be worn by each child.   Starts Tuesday 13th April 2021  (last session for that half term is Tuesday 25th May)  Sessions are £15.00 (spaces for the half term are payable at time of booking your space - a waiting list will operate once we are full). Trial sessions can be booked at £18.00 Hats/boot use is £3.00 per use.   If you are interested in your child attending FFRS Pony Club please fill and return in the attached form and the office will contact you to arrange payment and confirm your child’s space.   T&C - Sessions must be booked in advance with payment over the telephone. Sessions are non-refundable and cannot be moved forward to another date once booked. Children must bring gloves to each session to wear. Spring/Summer Childrens Holiday/Private Hacks

Fancy a holiday treat? Come and join us at Fletchers Farm for a private 30 minute hack around the farm for children aged 4 years old and upwards.  
Parents must be available to lead their children. 
Cost - One child £36.00 (includes hat/boot use) (or £38.00 with a rosette) 
Two children £62.00 (includes hat/boot use) (or £66.00 plus rosettes). 
 
Please note children/parents will need to wear gloves (we can provide disposable if required) and no shorts.

Join us on a one hour group ride around the farmland and local countryside. 
Riders must have ride with us already or have had an assessment lesson prior to joining the hacks. For riders who can walk, trot and canter.

Thurs 06/05-27/05 - Thurs Group Hack Club  

These sessions are for adults who enjoy hacking and meeting other riders socially. Riders must be established in their canter. 
Sessions are block booked per half term and are non-transferable. 
Any riders joing this group must have had an assessment ride here prior to hacking out. All riders must wear their own gloves and have their own whips.

Pony Club April 2021 Interested in learning more about ponies and their care? Come and join FFRS Pony Club!!  As an approved Pony Club Centre, Fletchers Farm Riding School offers fun, non-ridden sessions for children to meet new friends and learn all about ponies and stable management.  Sessions will cover topics such as grooming ponies, their health, feeding, field care, as well as games/quizzes and working towards Pony Club badges (please note to gain badges children will need to be current members of the national Pony Club organisation).  Pony Club will be running on Tuesday evenings from 6pm-7.30pm during term times, with Jackie Colbert leading the sessions.  Any child over 5 years old can join us and children must bring their own hats each week (hats can be prebooked for the half term). Gloves will also need to be worn by each child.   Starts Tuesday 13th April 2021  (last session for that half term is Tuesday 25th May)  Sessions are £15.00 (spaces for the half term are payable at time of booking your space - a waiting list will operate once we are full). Trial sessions can be booked at £18.00 Hats/boot use is £3.00 per use.   If you are interested in your child attending FFRS Pony Club please fill and return in the attached form and the office will contact you to arrange payment and confirm your child’s space.   T&C - Sessions must be booked in advance with payment over the telephone. Come and work on your jumping skills with Kristina who is an experienced show jumping Instructor. Kristina has successfully competed in affiliated show jumping competitions as well as cross country events and will use her knowledge to help you work towards your goals.

New dates - Pony Day  

A fun filled day with a chance for the children to get hands on experience with our ponies. The day includes grooming, learning about ponies and stable care, a ride on a pony of your choice (subject to suitability) as well as quiz/crafting depending on the weather. Open to all ages and abilities. Please bring your own packed lunch, drink and weather appropriate clothing. Parents will be required to return to lead children if they are beginners in the afternoon. Riding in groups in the outdoor arena, practice a range of obstacles and challenges with your pony and instructor. Each group will then have a fun timed competition against the other riders in their group to see who can complete the course in quickest time. Rosettes for placings in each group.

Fletchers Farm Riding School Dressage Show rules 
 
Where classes are split into junior/senior – junior riders are classed as riders who are 16 years old and under as of the 1st January 2021. All other riders will be classed in the senior category. 
 
Whilst BD rules require numbers for competitors to be displayed, we do not currently require riders to follow this rule. 
 
No entry will be accepted without the appropriate fee and signed entry form. Entries from competitors online who then have paid over the telephone or by Bacs are taken on the understanding of all parties that the competitor /and parents (if under 18 years old) have read, understood and agreed to abide by the show rules. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, vary the order or composition of, or cancel any event in this schedule at any time. 
 
Correct riding dress should be worn and hat with a fixed harness to a minimum standard of PAS 015 must be worn by riders at all times. 
 
Judged under BD, however the Judges' decision is final. 
 
Riders may be asked to perform their tests up to 10 minutes before their allocated times. 
 
The organisers have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructors and the organiser, officials and stewards. 
 
Please ensure that dogs are kept on a lead at all times. 
 
Please use designated warm up area only, (normally the indoor school). Do not stand on the track where others are riding and cause an obstruction. Please ride responsibly observing manage etiquette. 
 
Please do not re-enter the warm up arena once you have finished your test. 
 
No lunging allowed on the show ground. 
 
All lorries and horse trailers to be parked in designated grass area or on the large tarmac area opposite the main entrance – signs will be out on the day to indicate which area is being used for parking. 
 
Parking can be restricted if the show is busy so please park close to the next horse box and considerately. 
 
Please tidy hay, droppings and mess from the parking area before leaving. 
 
Photographs of winners / placed riders may be printed and shared on our website/Facebook site and printed media such as Absolute Horse. Please can you email the manager if you would prefer not to have any winner/placing photos shared (manager@fletchersfarm.co.uk).
