SHOW JUMPING SHOWS
At Fletchers Farm Riding School, we hold Show Jumping shows between April and September each year, and then one at Christmas. These shows are aimed at encouraging riders to try Show Jumping and are also an ideal outing for young horses or riders looking for a friendly and supportive environment to compete in.
April 2019 - Vaccinations update - Please note that we highly recommend your horse is vaccinated within the last 6 months but at the very least your horse must be up to date with their annual vaccinations to come to the site. Please ensure you have your horses passport with you, thank you for your co-operation.

Additional info for riding school clients:
Clients of the school may hire a horse for our SJ events or jumping clinics. It is expected that you will have ridden regularly with us beforehand and completed a number of jumping lessons or demonstrated the correct ability for the classes/clinic that you want to try.
Jumping classes can vary in length of time and therefore it is difficult to estimate exact times when riders will be able do their rounds, please allow enough time on site as these shows are informal and encouraging to allow riders to have a go.
We aim to allow a 15 minute warm up on your horse in the indoor ring before you will be expected to jump outside.
You will be expected to walk the course when it is ready on foot to learn the route and to decide how to approach your fences. You will need to ask a parent/friend to put your name down at the gate with the gate volunteer so that you know when you are due to ride e.g. the seventh rider due in. We may need to allocate an order if a pony is due to jump round twice with different riders so there is enough time for both riders.
Always carry a short whip with you if you are jumping.
Gloves must be worn, please wear jodphurs with a plain sweatshirt or show jacket.
These shows are designed to be encouraging. Please choose appropriate classes for your experience and we would politely ask that you move up classes if you have won a number at a particular level
