Clinics / Shows 

Here at Fletchers Farm we offer a range of clinics from dressage, showjumping, pole work and simulated cross country. Please note that all clinics must be paid at the time of booking, no refunds available. To book please call on 01206 242210 or pop into the office. We run dressage and show jumping shows from April to September and a winter/Christmas show, see below for details.

Jonathan Allinson - Jonathan is a qualified professional coach, who trained with Christopher Bartle (who coached the GB Three Day Event Team) at The Yorkshire Riding Centre.  
 
Jonathan brings a wealth of knowledge to his clinics from his experiences in producing young stock through to competing successfully in many equestrian fields; including show jumping. 
 
Costs: 
£23 Fletchers Farm loyalty members (plus £15 horse hire) or FF Liveries with own horse 
£28 Non Fletchers Farm members on own horse 
Kristina Adams – BHSAI. Kristina has competed successfully in affiliated show jumping as well as cross country events and has an eye for detail and accurate course riding. She brings her experience into her sessions to work on riders confidence as well as develping ring skills. Private jump lessons.

Dressage shows – Here at Fletchers Farm we run dressage shows on the first Saturday of every month from April to September. Classes from walk-trot to Novice. There is an accumulative points championship in two categories running throughout the year - Junior and Senior. Points will be awarded for each dressage class at our shows from April - September 2018.  
 
Championship Prizes  
 
The winner of each category will recieve a £30 voucher from Broomfields Farm Equestrian and Country Store and a private lesson from Emily Bradshaw.  
Runner up will receive a £15 voucher from Broomfields Farm Equestrian & Country Store and a £15 voucher from Fletchers Farm Riding School to be used towards lessons.

Novice Show Jumping  
 
Christmas Show - Saturday 15th December  
A fun, encouraging show aimed at novice riders. 
Fancy dress / christmas jumpers welcome! 
 
Starts 09:30hrs 
 
Class 1 Raised poles class – One round against the clock. Riders on the lead rein welcome. *Small Christmas treat for all clear rounds* 
 
Class 2 30cm (1ft approx) Cross Poles – One round against the clock. 
Riders on the lead rein welcome. 
 
Class 3 40-45cm (1ft.4in-1ft6 approx) – One round against the clock. 
No lead rein allowed but an assistant allowed in the ring. 
 
Class 4 Dog and Dobbin – 45-50cm (1ft.6in-1ft.9 approx) - Rider jumps round a course of jumps, then dog and handler have to jump the same course. Fastest, clear pair wins. 
 
Class 5 50cm-60cm (1ft.9in-2ft approx) – Two phase. 
 
Class 6 Novice Christmas Cracker Pairs – 60cm-65cm (2ft.-2ft.3 approx) – First rider jumps round a course of jumps, passes baton to second rider to then jump round same course. Fastest, clear pair wins. 
** A minimum of four pairs required for this class to run** 
 
Class 7 75cm (2ft6 approx) – Two phase. 
 
Class 8 Holly High Jump – starting at 90cm – There will be two fences for this competition. One spread which will remain at 90cm, the other, an upright, will be raised in each round. Riders must clear both fences in each round in order to continue and whoever clears the highest fence round is the winner. 
 
Classes 5, 7 are two phase (if clear round jumped, jump off will follow immediately). 
 
Rosettes 1st to 4th place, more if entries warrant. 
 
Entries 
 
Riding School clients must pre-book by Wednesday 12th December using the entry form. Fletchers Farm Livery Members/External riders can enter on the day 
 
Classes 1, 2,3,4,5,7,8 - £8 FFRS Liveries/External riders, £20 Loyalty Scheme Riding School Clients (includes Horse Hire) £23 Non-Member Riding School Client (includes horse hire)

Parking is available on the hardcore area opposite the main entrance to the farm. Warm up indoors and classes in our large outdoor arena

No entry will be accepted without the appropriate fee. Pre-Entry only for this show unless you are Fletchers Farm Livery members. There is no lorry/trailer parking available for this Christmas show. 
 
The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, vary the order or composition of, or cancel any event in this schedule at any time. 
 
Classes may be split or amalgamated at the organisers' discretion. 
 
All course heights are approximate. 
 
Correct riding dress should be worn and hat with a fixed harness to a minimum standard of PAS 015 must be worn by riders at all times. All serving military personnel must be dressed in uniform when competing. 
 
Judged under BS Rules. The Judges' decision is final. 
 
The organisers have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructors or the organiser, officials and stewards. 
 
If this is your first show competing please note that we allow assistance or leading in the classes indicated on the schedule page. Please remember horses can behave differently in the ring to normal lessons or schooling at home and if you would like assistance please ask. Competitors enter classes at their own risk.  
 
Please use designated warm up area only. Do not stand on the track where others are riding and cause an obstruction. Please ride responsibly. 
 
Please do not re-enter the warm up arena once you have finished your jumping round. 
 
No lunging allowed on the show ground. 
 
Please ensure that dogs are kept on a lead at all times. 
 
Photographs of class winners/placed riders may be printed/placed onto various media including the Fletchers Farm Riding School website, Essex Rider, the Fletchers Farm Facebook page. If you do not wish this to happen you must notify us in writing. 
 
It is assumed that on entering the competition that you have read and have agreed to the rules above. 
 
 
Points towards the dressage championship will only be awarded where there are 8 or more competitors in that class on the day.

2018 Rules 
 
This year we will be running our points championship in two categories – Junior and Senior Points Champions. 
Points will be awarded for each eligible dressage class at our shows from April – September 2018 for riders to collect according to their results as follows: 
 
1st Place 6 points 
2nd Place 5 Points 
3rd Place 4 Points 
4th Place 3 Points 
5th Place 2 Points 
6th Place 1 Point 
 
The rider and horse combination to collect the most points over the course of the shows will win the championship. Riders can only collect points from two classes per show and the points will be taken from the first two classes entered per combination. Points will be awarded to the same horse/pony and rider combination only with the exception of riding school clients who will be required to compete on whichever suitable riding school horse is available for that show/class and therefore gain points individually. Junior riders are classed as riders who are 16 years old and under as of the 1st January 2018. All other riders will be classed in the Senior category. If entries warrant we will spilt results into junior/senior and award points from these sets of results. 
 
The winner of each category will receive a £30 voucher for Broomfields Farm Equestrian & Country Store, and a private lesson from Emily Bradshaw Eventing. The runner up will receive a £15 voucher for Broomfields Farm Equestrian & Country Store and a £15 voucher from Fletchers Farm Riding School to be used towards a private lesson with the school. 
 
Dressage Rules

Entries from competitors who have paid over the telephone or by Bacs are taken on the understanding of all parties that the competitor /and parents (if under 18 years old) have read, understood and agreed to abide by the show rules. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, vary the order or composition of, or cancel any event in this schedule at any time.

All lorries and horse trailers to be parked in designated grass area. Please tidy hay, droppings and mess from the grass area before leaving. Parking can be restricted if the show is busy so please park close to the next horse box and considerately. 
 
Photographs of winners/placed riders may be printed and used on various social and printed media including the Fletchers Farm Riding School website/Facebook page. If you do not wish this to happen you must notify the manager in writing.
